Lindy Hop Classes
The next round of lindy hop lessons at the Beall starts on
Thursday, February 25th!
Lindy Fundamentals is ideal for students who have little or no swing dancing experience and want to start learning lindy hop with a solid foundation. This class will get you moving and give you the confidence to execute moves on the social dance floor. Taught by Steve and Kathi Dobelbower, 7:00-8:00pm
Lindy Hop A reviews the fundamentals of swing dancing and covers the basic 8 count patterns. Knowledge of 6 count swing is required.
Taught by Amanda & Brian Knick, 7:00-8:00pm
Lindy Hop B will focus on charleston for lindy hop. Charleston is one of the basic building blocks of lindy hop and will allow you to dance to faster tempos. Students should be comfortable doing a swing out and transitioning between 6 and 8 count patterns. Taught by Amanda & Brian Knick, 6:00-7:00pm
Classes are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. No partner required. If you have any questions, email news@bozemanswing.com or call Amanda at 518-429-8757.
Also, there will be a
Shim Sham workshop on April 1st & 7th. The Shim Sham is a tap routine that was used to close shows in the 1920s and 30s. It's a great way to learn some jazz movement and interesting footwork to incorporate in your lindy hop. We'll get you some more details soon!
